For Ukraine - #4Ukraine

Finland became independent a hundred years ago - 6th of December 1917 - after the Russian Red Revolution. 30th of November 1939 Red Army attacked Finland - at that time, in Finland began 105 days of honor in the struggle of our country against the Red Army, while maintaining its sovereignty. A hundred years later, our country is independent and free democracy, at the same time in Europe Ukraine fights for its independence and freedom against the Russian armed forces – against the “Красная Армия”.

On 6th of December, we celebrate our 100th anniversary in Finland, the same day the global movement supports Ukrainians who are fighting for freedom - defending their homeland. On Tuesday, December 6th we will show social movement support for the Ukrainian armed forces – these brave Ukrainian soldiers – with a hashtag #4Ukraine.

@GlasnostGone #4Ukraine.

From us writing #4Ukraine does not require more than a few seconds of work - a small moment in our lives, but with this little moment in the world, the value of the act is unmatched. Now Ukraine is fighting alone, the least we can do is to write #4Ukraine!

Founder of the #4Ukraine campaign is British, know on twitter with the username @GlasnostGone. This is not the first of his global campaigns, he also founded #FreeSavchenko campaign. Global #FreeSavchenko campaign gathered participants from citizens to politicians. Unfortunately, Finnish politicians did not take publicly part in the #FreeSavchenko campaign - hopefully even somebody will dare to join the #4Ukraine campaign.

Ukrainians are fighting for freedom, independence and social change. Their battle began four years ago 21st of November 2013 in Kyiv, Maidan Nezalezhnost, and today it continues with arms in eastern Ukraine at Donbas, where Ukrainians defending their country against Russian aggression, as well as a peaceful resistance to the Russian occupied Crimea Peninsula.
