The Swedish neo-Nazis trained by Russians

When I wrote a blog about ”’Kansallismielisten” puolueprojektit haiskahtavat…”, I noticed interesting link between Swedish neo-Nazi organization Nordic Resistance Movement and the Russian company, which one training mercenaries in St. Petersburg. I have previously written a Swedish neo-Nazis and Russian co-operation, but only after writing this blog I understood what these "paramilitära organisationen Partizan" refers to a Swedish news.

On June 9, 2017, the Swedish Expressen reported (text. Swedish):

The Local made a short news in English without mentioning the name of the paramilitary organization (Partizan/ Partisan):

Two of three suspected neo-Nazis facing trial over Gothenburg bomb attacks on left-wing activists and a refugee home received military training in Russia shortly before the attacks, according to the prosecutor.

"Rather, there are indications that they were dissatisfied with the leadership within the Nordic Resistance Movement for not wanting to use violence to the same extent as they wanted to," said Ljungqvist.

"We can also see that two of the suspects shortly before the attacks received military training in Russia’." (2)

I dare to say that “paramilitära organisationen Partizan” (Engl. paramilitary organization Partisan) mentioned in news is same as a Russian Denis Vasilyev's company Partisan Center (Центр Партизан). Vasilyev’s has also been war in Ukraine, Russian proxies/terrorist groups. (3 & 4)

The co-operation between members of the Swedish Nordic Resistance Movement with the Russians is not news. Anton Shekhovtsov published on September 19th, 2015, a blog about "Russian fascist militants giving money to the Swedish Counterparts", where he wrote:

Most importantly, however, the Swedish report on the meeting states that, during its visit to Sweden, the Russian delegation has donated money to the Swedish fascists as a contribution to the building of a political party on the basis of the "Nordic Resistance’.”

And

The first key player is Denis Gariev, a member of the RID and the head of its paramilitary club "Imperial Legion" that holds "Partisan" military courses.” (5)

EuroMaidan Press reports that the Partizan Center has trained about 400 militants for such service, meaning war in Eastern Ukraine in Russia's proxy troops against the Ukraine.

According to Myrotvorets Center, Denis Vasilyev's “specialty relative” is “Vladislav Gariev” (brother?) – surname “Gariev” also mentioned in the Shekhovtsov blog. (6) I wonder if this “Denis Gariev” is alternative name of Vasilyev’s?

It is quite possible that with the meeting of September 2015, the Russkoe Imperskoe Dvizhenie (RID) and the Nordic Resistance Movement agreed not only with monetary donations but also practical cooperation, which resulted in at least two Swedish Nordic Resistance Movement members being trained in Russia. Training took place shortly before attacks in Sweden (first one 11th of November 2016). In addition to Thulin and Melin, did other Swedish neo-Nazis receive military/terrorist training a Partisan Center camps?

One more note cooperation between Russians and Nordic Resistance Movement. Members of the Nordic Resistance Movement took part in the "World Congress of Peace-Loving Forces" organized by Vladimir Zhirinovsky’s Russian Liberal Democratic Party – name of party is totally absurd – in Moscow, Russia. (7)

Nordic Resistance Movement operates in several Nordic countries, including Finland, the question is whether or not Finnish members of the Nordic Resistance Movement (Finnish Pohjoismainen Vastarintaliike) have participated in similar paramilitary training/ terrorist or do they have such intentions?

It is well known that Finnish Johan Bäckman has recruited Finns into Eastern Ukraine joining to the Russian troops - at least some of them have been exposed as “anti-fascists”, Petri Viljakainen has shared and possibly still shares a leftist ideology. The people recruited by Bäckman, I understand, have been trained in Rostov oblast and in the eastern Ukraine, but we should not rule out the possibility that militant training has been given elsewhere in Russia, too – maybe also in St. Petersburg? Has Johan Bäckman bigger role than we know?

The cooperation of Russkoe Imperskoe Dvizhenie (RID) and Nordic Resistance Movement contributes to how the Russians are trying to destabilize western societies. Before the Crimean occupation and war in Ukraine, Russia had similar operations targeting for example in Ukraine - local ethnic Russians or pro-Russians were recruited militants and trained in Russia for years before the war. (8) We see the same in the Nordic countries, it's time to wake up!
