A holiday in the free West should not be a pleasure for Russians –

so, influence the minds of Russian tourists to tell them about their country’s criminal and brutal war in Ukraine

After the border between Finland and Russia was opened to Russian tourists, the Russian tourists who visited Finland caused aggravation – rightfully so, because it seems morally wrong that the citizens of Russia, which has embarked on a brutal war of aggression, can travel abroad on a personal level and thus strive to live as if there was no unjustified war against Ukraine.

For my part, I decide to offer the readers of my blog the opportunity to influence the feelings of the Russians, if nothing else, to cause them a little anger, but hopefully also a stab of conscience, in the form of the pictures below. Each picture is equipped with a short text in Russian and a message for Russians. The texts are written by a person born and raised in the Soviet Union who speaks Russian at the level of a mother tongue, and who understands the deeper meaning of certain expressions and references.

For example, for us the text Москва – просто утонула! (English, Moskva – just sunk!) doesn't mean anything yet, but those Russians who remember the sinking of the submarine Kursk understand the meaning of the phrase and remember how, as president, Vladimir Putin initially treated the sinking of the Kursk – the tragedy: Курск – просто утонула.

Print pictures and share them, influence the minds of Russians – be so kind!

I couldn't think about war personally, it was something I saw in the news, something I watched movies or read books about – I couldn't imagine it happening personally, then came the occupation of Crimea and in April [meaning 2014] Slovyansk was occupied. Life changed completely in an instant, and at the same time life had to go on.” L, who saw and experienced the first months of war and occupation in 2014 in Donetsk. Now she is safe, but she had to leave her loved ones and her entire life in occupied Donetsk.

The least we can do is influence the minds of the Russians while the Ukrainians fight for us too.

Слава Україні!
